Project Description:
Construction of a new section of a DN600 mm pipeline, replacing one of the two adductor pipes known as "Vecchio Schievenin" (DN350 mm) and "Comunità Montana del Grappa" (DN450 mm), part of the two lines of the aqueduct serving the northern area of the Province of Treviso and the Grappa Consortium, reaching a total of 18 Municipalities and over 120.000 users. The intake is located on Tegorzo river and the water supply system reaches a total area of 58’127 ha and flow is 90.75 l/s.
The works allow to bypass a section of the two pipelines damaged by a landslide event occurred in February 2019 on the eastern slope of the road which connects Campo to Schievenin.
Two sections of the steel pipeline have been taken into consideration in the design:
Section A-B (diameter 400 mm): connecting the new adductor by-pass pipe DN600 mm to the grey cast iron pipe "Old Schievenin" (DN 350 mm)
Section B-C (diameter 600 mm): replacement of both existing pipelines.
